Our Build Process

Our build process is simple and streamlined. All builds start with a complimentary consultation, followed with a step-by-step plan. Our builds are managed through our Templeton Construction App, where we provide you with regular updates and photographs of your build as it progresses. This allows you to track your build in real-time, even from a distance.

Our Process

Step One – Initial Contact

We start with a complimentary consultation where we discuss your wants and needs.

Step Two – On-Site Meet

We meet on the building site to discuss your plans. This helps us to create a step-by-step process for your build including timeframes, council consents, budgeting, project management, materials and budget. During this phase it is great if you can bring along your ideas, plans, sketches and imagery related to the build.

Step Three – Consent Process

During this phase we will discuss your consents and take your applications to council approval. We will also discuss project management and everyone’s role so you can get familiar with the team.

Step Four – Plans, Concepts and Drawings

This is one of the most important and exciting stages. Here you will either choose one of our architecturally-designed plans or we will make plans based off your own ideas. With the help of a designer we can discuss and rework any ideas and changes that may evolve throughout the build process.

Step Five – Quoting

Once you are happy with your plans and concepts you will be provided with a detailed quote, including estimates for any changes. We will answer any questions you have and provide you with a job schedule including starting and completion dates.

Step Six – Signing Documentation

You will be provided with a New Zealand Certified Builders contract, as well as a copy of our Halo 10 Year Guarantee. Once the contract is signed and drawings are approved by the appropriate local authority your project will get underway.

Step Seven – Build Begins

The build begins! We will communicate with you on a regular basis, ensuring your project is on track. Our builds are managed through our Templeton Construction App, where we provide you with updates and photographs of your build as it progresses. This allows you to track your build in real-time, even from a distance.

Step Eight – Completion

A final code of compliance inspection will be undertaken. Then the good bit – you get to walk through your brand new home. We want to ensure you are 100% satisfied with the workmanship and we offer a complimentary clean on completion. Welcome home!
